Chelsom worked with interior designers Bell & Swift to deliver an extensive decorative lighting scheme for The Grand Hotel Leicester by The Unlimited Collection, as part of the landmark hotel’s major refurbishment. Working across the guestrooms, bathrooms and public areas, the scheme combines designs from Chelsom’s latest collection with customised and bespoke lighting developed specifically for the project.
Within the guestrooms, Halo, Hybrid, Greenwich and Duomo designs were adapted to meet the individual requirements of the scheme, creating a varied yet cohesive lighting aesthetic across the different room types. LED Eye reading lights were integrated into the upholstered headboards, providing discreet and practical bedside illumination, while custom wall lights were developed for the ensuite bathrooms.
Elsewhere, Glass Effect wall lights from Chelsom’s latest collection were specified for the public areas, extending the decorative lighting scheme beyond the guestrooms. Together, the combination of standard, customised and bespoke designs complements the hotel’s reimagined interiors, where contemporary detailing sits alongside references to the building’s Victorian heritage and 1930s glamour.
